Job Description

This position provides overall financial leadership for a national company, reports directly to the CFO and participates as a key member of the Executive Team in business strategy development, decision-making and execution. This position serves as liaison between operations and corporate financial leadership and strongly supporting the CFO in ensuring alignment among business segments.  This position will be leading a dynamic team of Senior Financial Directors.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • VP of Finance & Strategy/Treasury will manage a staff of 3 to 4 professionals.
  • Directly responsible for all Treasury functions, including cash and risk management, debt covenant compliance and banking relationships. 
  • The successful candidate will have demonstrated outstanding broad-based functional competencies in strategic planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, financial planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, debt compliance and banking relationships.
  • Position responsible for driving, measuring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the business and thereby assisting the management team in building and executing annual budgets and long-term strategic plans that will drive profitable growth. Also responsible for developing a broad understanding of acquisition opportunities and evaluating M&A targets as appropriate.
  • Lead the development of product costing models and work closely with the CFO and sales teams on pricing.
  • Help the company maintain liquidity and strong credit rating, report financial results to credit agencies and banks.
  • Monitor the company’s cash flow and cash/debt levels forecasts and report timely information on cash and projected debt position to senior executives.
  • Analyze and review ad hoc M&A opportunities and present findings to the Leadership Team.
  • Manage and lead the financial planning processes including the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and strategic plans.

 

Requirements:                                                                                                 

  • BA in Accounting or Finance
  •  CPA and/or MBA required.
  • Ten plus years related experience with significant time in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
  • Proficient knowledge in all areas of finance with specific expertise in cash flow management, strategy development and assessment, M&A, performance analytics, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
  • Demonstrated abilities in building and refining financial forecasting models, business planning, and advanced analytics.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
