For more information, please visit: http://www.siemens.com/businesses/us/en/digital-factory.htm **Job Description:** **Siemens US Talent Acquisition** **Overview:** The person in this role will manage a global team of people and PR Agencies to achieving the objective of maximizing positive media exposure worldwide for Siemens, its product lifecycle management (PLM) software business and the solutions offered through its PLM Software business. Media exposure includes coverage through trade, business and IT press and is achieved through both traditional and social media channels. The person in this role should have a strong PR and Media Relations background, proven leadership skills, be a self-starter and possess excellent English language writing and oral communications skills. This position will report to the head of Global Marketing for Siemens PLM Software. **Responsibilities:** • Managing individuals located in Asia Pacific, Europe and the US • Defining, implementing and enforcing Siemens PLM Software’s Global PR policy • Working with Siemens AG Corporate Communications (CC) colleagues from around the world to establish and nurture relationships, and to ensure PL is helping drive media coverage in each country. • Evaluating PR Agencies and negotiating contracts • Working with and managing multiple PR Agencies • Development and editing of press releases • Direct interaction with the media • Active involvement in, and monitoring of, various social media outlets including (but not limited to) Twitter and LinkedIn. • Cross coordination across multiple PL teams to achieve a common communications objective • Coordinating with event planners to maximize effectiveness of media events **Required Skills and Requirements** • 8 years or more of experience in Public Relations, Media Relations or Marketing Communications • 3 years or more successfully managing people in remote locations • Experience negotiating contracts with PR Agencies • Excellent English language writing skill • Strong understanding of how social media tools can be leveraged to amplify news announcements and media coverage • Excellent verbal communication skills • Ability to build consensus among a diverse set of teams with various interests • Capable of working without local supervision to produce results and meet objectives • Ability to work with technical subject matter experts to extract the business value of a product or service and communicate it to both a technical and non-technical audience • Ability to handle multiple demands on your time through prioritization based on personal objectives and business need • Experience working with C-suite executives in a communications capacity • Ability to effectively navigate and leverage a large and complex organizational structure to maximize efficiency • Strong working knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word • Experience working with and understanding one or more of the following industries is a plus: PLM, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Electronic Design Automation (EDA) **Equal Employment Opportunity Statement** Siemens is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
